Top Professional Skin Care Products - Are They Safe For Us to Use?

If you are thinking about buying and using the top professional skin care products, you might want to reconsider. I won't mention any brand names, because this is not a product review. But, you will learn about the ingredients that should be avoided, no matter what the brand name or which designer endorsed it.
Choosing a Sunscreen
According to the Environmental Working Group, a non-profit organization unaffiliated with any cosmetic company or the industry, in general, 3 out of 5 of the sunscreens on the market do not protect the skin against sun damage or they contain hazardous chemicals. The best sunscreens on the EWG's 2009 list contain zinc oxide. The SPF ratings are all over 30.
Choosing a Cleanser
The most important thing to avoid in a cleanser is an ingredient called ethylene oxide. Manufacturers use it to make harsh ingredients milder. It would make more sense if they just used mild ingredients in the first place. The state of California found that ethylene oxide reacts with other ingredients during the manufacturing process to form cancer-causing Dioxane.
Choosing a Moisturizer
Here's where the top professional skin care products are really bad. Practically all of them contain petrolatum and/or mineral oils, which are not actually moisturizing and do clog the pores. Petrolatum continues to be used as an inactive carrier, despite the fact that it is known "not" to moisturize and may actually contribute to the aging process.
Choosing Make-up                       
Although lead-based paint has been banned and the use of it in water pipes has been outlawed, make-up still contains lead-based pigments. The EWG reports that lipstick and many other types of makeup contain traces of lead. It won't be listed on a label. So, in order to avoid it, you will need to avoid artificial colors and look for natural pigments.
Choosing Makeup Remover
The top professional skin care products are too strong for use by the average person. The cleansers are irritating. They choose the stronger ingredients, because it makes makeup removal easier. If you choose a makeup that is not waterproof, you won't need the strong ingredients.
Choosing a Nighttime Cream
Nighttime creams can be highly beneficial for improving moisture content and reducing wrinkles. But, they are also more likely to cause allergic reactions, because they are left on all night. You'll find that the top professional skin care products contain ingredients that are common allergens and irritants. You want something different.
Shea butter, avocado oil, coenzyme Q10, natural vitamin E and keratin are among the ingredients to look for. Those will provide moisture and help to repair damage done during the day.

For the most part, the top professional skin care products do not contain the best ingredients. You would be better off buying something for an amateur. And always look for products made with natural ingredients instead of chemicals.
